Bogoyavlensky Cathedral

The Bogoyavlensky Cathedral is located on Lenina Square in the historical center of Tomsk. It is one of the oldest churches in the city, founded in 1630 on the site of an earlier village church. The cathedral preserves relics of Saint Panteleimon the Martyr and Healer, as well as an icon of the Holy Trinity, which played a significant role in the founding of Tomsk by Tsar Boris Godunov. A special relic of the cathedral is an icon venerated by believers as a great holy relic.
