Church of the Ascension

The Church of the Ascension of the Lord, also known as the Voznesenskaya Church, is situated on Klara Zetkin Street, 11 in Yekaterinburg. It is a parish Orthodox church that was repeatedly extended and expanded throughout the 19th century. After being closed in 1926 it served as a school and museum but became operational again with services starting in February 1991. The church dominates Voznesenskaya Hill and features six annexes including the Lower Christmas and Upper Ascension chapels.
