Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore named after O.E. Kler is situated in Yekaterinburg on Malyshova Street, 46. It is the largest museum in the region with branches in ten cities within the area. Unique archaeological finds, exhibits related to ethnography, natural science and Ural history can be found here. The main attraction is the ancient wooden idol Shigir, discovered in peat bogs near Yekaterinburg. The museum building consists of two houses previously owned by businessmen and city council. Exhibits include wax figures of famous personalities and restoration workshops.
