Sverdlovsk Regional Museum of Local Lore named after O.E. Kler

The Свердловский областной краеведческий музей имени О. Е. Клера is located in Yekaterinburg at ulitsa Malyшева, 46. It is the largest museum in the region with branches in ten cities of the area. There are unique archaeological findings, exhibits on ethnography, natural science and Ural history. The main attraction is the ancient wooden idol Shigirsky, found in peat bogs near Yekaterinburg. The museum building consists of two houses that were previously owned by businessmen and city council. Exhibitions include wax figures of famous personalities and restoration workshops.
