Tatischev and de Gennin Monument
Yekaterinburg, Historical Square, Plotinka
The monument to V.N. Tatishchev and V.I. de Gennin stands in Yekaterinburg on Historical Square, at the heart of the park where the city commenced. It honors the founders of the first Russian Ural metallurgical center founded by Tsar Pyotr I's decree in 1723. Adjacent is the renowned fountain "Stone Flower" and remnants of old industrial structures. From this vantage point, one can view the Iset River and the pedestrian tourist trail "Red Route."
