Popov Radio Museum

The Radio Museum named after A.S. Popov in Yekaterinburg is situated at Roza Luxemburg Street, 9/11. It features a memorial room dedicated to the Levitsky family, donated by relatives of radio inventor Alexander Popov. Visitors can view Popov's receiver from 1895 and other exhibits illustrating the operation of Heron's vibrator, Tesla's transformer, electrophoretic machine and Morse telegraph. There is also an exhibit devoted to the development of Soviet radiotechnics from the revolution until the early 1990s. Among unique items are the first Soviet mechanical television and communication devices ranging from telegraph to modern mobile phones.
