Museum of Lapidary and Jewellery Arts History

The Museum of Lapidary and Jewelry Arts is situated in the historical building of the former pharmacy belonging to the Ekaterinburg Mining Department, constructed in 1821 by architect Mikhail Malakhov. It features the main exhibition covering stone carving from the 19th century until the early 20th century. Of particular interest is the Golden Treasury showcasing items by Karl Faberge and Bazhov Hall displaying metal and stone works inspired by tales of Pavel Bazhov. Visitors can view unique artifacts made from malachite, agate, rhodonite and various types of jasper. Officially opened on May 25, 1992.
