Tiflis Gates

Tifliskiy Vorota, or Triumfal'naya Arka, were built in 1841 in memory of the victory at the Battle of Borodino. It is one of the significant architectural symbols of Stavropol, included in tours introducing visitors to the city. In the 1930s, the historical arch was destroyed but by the end of the 20th century it was reconstructed. Today it serves as an important element of the city's history and culture.
