Shalyapin Cottage Literary-Musical Museum

The Shalyapin Museum is situated in the historical mansion of Kislovodsk built in 1903 by architect Emmanuil Khadzhaev in the style of modernism. Here Feodor Shalyapin lived during the summer of 1917, after which the building was named after him. Originally it housed Usakova's pension, while young Sergei Prokofiev later rented accommodation in an adjacent wing. Today the museum has been open since 1988 and annually hosts the Shalyapin Seasons festival. The exhibition features personal belongings, photographs and documents of the singer.
