Shalyapin's Lodge Literature and Music Museum

The Shalyapin Cottage Museum is located in the historical mansion of Kislovodsk built in 1903 by architect Emmanuil Khadzhaev in the modern style. The house is famous because Feodor Shalyapin rented it for the summer of 1917, after which the building was named after him. Originally there was a boarding school owned by Mrs. Ushakova, later in 1911, in the adjacent wing lived young composer Sergei Prokofiev. Today, the museum preserves memories of musical and literary life at the beginning of the 20th century.
