Kislovodsk Historical and Regional Museum Fortress

The "Fortress" Museum is situated in Kislovodsk, in the historical building of Kislovodsk Fortress founded in the early 19th century. It was opened in 1965 and today it introduces visitors to the region's history, including the stay of A.S. Pushkin and the activities of architect S.I. Upton. Exhibitions cover ancient times of Kislovodsk, establishment of local stanitsa and residents' deeds during World War II. The building is located away from water sources to ensure access for locals to water resources.
