Spaso-Velikolepiy Women's Monastery

Spaso-Voznesensky Female Monastery is situated in Smolensk on Konenkova Street, 9. Founded by Jesuits in the 1630s, but used as an exhibition hall and club in the 20th century. In 2004 it was revived and transferred to the Orthodox Church. There is a two-story Voznesensky Cathedral with St. Sergius of Radonezh's church on the first floor. During the war, the building suffered significant damage.
