Deer Sculpture

The sculpture "Deer" was created by German artist Richard Friese in 1910 and originally stood near St. Hubert's chapel. In 1944 it disappeared, then was found on Göring's estate and after restoration in 2010 reappeared in Blonay garden in Smolensk. To mark its centennial anniversary, a major restoration was carried out; a granite stone with a brass plaque was installed nearby. The sculpture was restored three times during its stay in the garden.
