Memorial to the Liberators of Smolensk from Nazi-Fascist Occupiers

Monument commemorating the liberators of Smolensk was installed at the intersection of October Revolution Street and Dzerzhinskogo. It was opened on September 25, 1967. The monument's height is 2 meters. The memorial is made of red granite with a bas-relief of an artillery crew executed in copper. On the bas-relief there are figures of soldiers supporting the attack of riflemen. The project authors are sculptor G.N. Samodolkin and architect Yu.A. Shatalov.
