Knyaz Vladimir Monument

The monument to Prince Vladimir is situated on Vladimirsky Embankment in Smolensk. It was solemnly opened in summer 2015. The sculpture's author is Smolensk artist Valery Grashchenkov. Prince is depicted holding a cross in one hand while pointing with another hand towards the river Dniepr. Patriarch Kirill participated in the monument's opening and consecration ceremony.
