In the World of Fairy Tales Museum

The Children's Museum "In the World of Fairy Tales" in Smolensk, which is part of the Smolensk State Museum-Reserve, was opened in December 1992. The exhibition is designed as a world of folk and Pushkin's fairy tales, with a hut on chicken legs placed in the fairy-tale corner. The museum displays Dymkovo, Filimonovo, and Bogorodskoye folk toys, a painted chest from 1839, and a silver feeding horn for infants made by Moscow master Gavriil Ustinov. The institution is open daily from 10:30 to 19:00.
