Smolenskaya Region During World War II Museum

The Museum "Smolenskaya Region During World War II" is located at Dzerzhinsky Street, 4a in Smolensk. Visitors can view authentic photographs and documents from wartime, learn about life under occupation, underground activities and partisan movements. Exhibits include an audio diorama titled "Birth of Soviet Guard" and an actual partisan dugout. On the open grounds of the museum there is military equipment on display including Katyusha rocket launchers, T-34 and IS-2 tanks, ZIS-5 truck, Shilka anti-aircraft system, and MiG-23M fighter jet.
