Smolensky Cat

On Oktyabrskoy Revolutsii Street in Smolensk there stands a sculpture of a cat created by Valery Grashchenkov. The figure depicts a cat stretching and looking attentively at passersby with a sly squint. The composition is made from stone and adorned with decorative elements. This monument has become popular among city residents and visitors, leading to a local belief that wishes come true upon touching the cat. Also, souvenirs featuring the sculpture's image have been produced.
