Theater Square

Theater Square in Saratov - the central square of Volga District, formed in 1808 as Grain Market Square. It features monuments to Lenin, Radishchev, Bogolyubov, Tabakov and other memorials. Among attractions there is mosaic on the building of the Government of the Saratov Region and sculpture "Heart of Province". Originally built here theater was constructed by governor A.D. Panchulidze in 1810. Nowadays the square houses Saratov Art Museum named after A.N. Radishchev.
