Holy-Trinity Cathedral

Holy-Troitse Cathedral - the oldest monument of Saratov, cathedral of the Saratov metropolitan see. Built in the style of Moscow baroque and is a unique architectural monument for the region. The first wooden structure appeared in 1674-1675, the stone building was laid in 1695. The church was transferred to the Russian Orthodox Church in 1947 after a long period of closure. The lower church dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary became the first completed part of the cathedral.
