Saratov Academic Drama Theatre Named After I. A. Slonov

Saratov Academic Drama Theatre Named After I.A. Slonov - Russia's oldest theatrical ensemble founded in 1803, situated on Working Street, 116/17. In 1993 it was named after prominent Russian actor Ivan Slonov. It began its history with regular dramatic performances in 1865 under entrepreneur Pyotr Medvedev's direction. Notable artist Vasily Kachalov also performed there from 1897 to 1900.
