Yuri A. Gagarin Monument

Yuri Gagarin Monument is situated on Cosmonauts Embankment in Saratov near Obukhov Street. It was unveiled on September 30th, 1995. Created by People's Artist of RSFSR Yuri Chernov, it was cast at Mytischi Foundry for Artistic Casting in 1990. The sculpture depicts Gagarin walking along the embankment; it stands by the Volga Riverbank and forms part of a memorial route commemorating his time in Saratov.
