Monument to the Fighters of the 1905 Revolution

The Monument to the Fighters of the 1905 Revolution in Saratov is an object of cultural heritage of federal significance, made of granite. The monument was unveiled on December 20, 1925, for the twentieth anniversary of the revolutionary events, and is located on 1905 Square at the entrance to the city park. The design of the granite monument was created by the Moscow sculptor Boris Danilovich Korolev, and its asymmetrical pedestal is decorated with reliefs on all four sides. The decision to install the monument was made on November 7, 1923, at the initiative of Saratov railway workers, when the square was still called Institutskaya.
