Jigulovsky Brewery

Zhyulovsky Brewery in Samara traces its history back to 1881 when it was founded by Austrian entrepreneur von Vakano. It was here for the first time in Russia that the famous beer variety "Zhigulevskoye" was developed in 1935. The brewery has been awarded prizes at international exhibitions on multiple occasions. Nearby there is a restaurant called "U Vakano," named after the founder. During the Soviet era, the enterprise became a state-run trust and underwent nationalization.
