Victory Square

Victory Square in Samara serves as a venue for solemn events and memorial ceremonies. Its architectural ensemble developed simultaneously with the city's administrative center. The central element of the square is Victory Monument, where an Eternal Flame stands. The buildings of the ensemble were designed by prominent architects of the time: N. Poddovenikov, Yu. Danilov, F. Anufriev, M. Moskova and P. Scherbachev. From the square lead stairs to Volga Avenue and the riverside promenade, forming a unified space with Samara Square.
