Yakutsk Watchtower

Palisade Tower is one of the oldest landmarks of Yakutsk and symbolizes the beginning of its history as a fortified settlement. It served as an important defensive element and today serves as a reminder of the era of exploring North-Eastern Russia. Located in the "Old Town" complex, the tower is included in pedestrian tours, allowing visitors to feel the connection between modern Yakutsk and events from the 17th century.
