Saint Pyotrsburg Zoo

Saint Pyotrsburg Zoo — the oldest zoo in Russia founded on August 14th, 1865. During the blockade it continued to operate due to the dedication of its staff, hence retaining its historical name "Saint Pyotrsburg". A memorial has been installed honoring workers who defended the animals. It is among the northernmost zoos worldwide with an exceptional collection of animals.
