Cruiser Aurora

Saint Petersburg, Petrogradskaya Emb

Cruiser "Aurora," docked at Pyotrogradskaya Embankment in Saint Pyotrsburg since 1948, is a symbol of the city and an integral component of Russian maritime history. Commissioned in 1900, it took part in significant 20th-century engagements such as the Battle of Tsushima and both World Wars. Famous for its blank shot on October 25, 1917, which heralded the assault on the Winter Palace. Following extensive restoration from 2014 to 2016, the vessel is accessible to visitors as a division of the Central Naval Museum.
