Ryazan Kremlin

Ryazan Kremlin is situated on a high hill where the rivers Trubezh and Lybed meet, being the city's main historical ensemble. Its territory covers 26.5 hectares and was once surrounded by walls up to 1600 meters long. The dominant feature of the ensemble is the Cathedral Bell Tower. Since 1923, an oblast museum has operated on its grounds. It holds federal significance as a cultural heritage site and preserves memories of the annexation of Ryazan's land to the Moscow state in the 16th century. Glebovsky Bridge connects the Kremlin hill with the Cathedral Park.
