Ryazan Philharmonic Society
Ryazan, Lenina St, 26
The Ryazan Regional Philharmonic is situated at Lenin Street, 26 in Ryazan city. It was founded in 1941 by the decision of the organizing committee of the Presidium of the RSFSR Supreme Soviet and initially named Concert-Estrada Bureau. Since 1941 regular concerts were held here, including performances by artists during World War II. The institution includes the well-known State Academic Ryazan Russian Folk Choir named after E. Popov. In 1958, a marble bust of Sergey Esenin by sculptor I.G. Onischenko was installed in the foyer.
