Faina Ranevskaya Monument

In Taganrog, on Frunze Street, there is a monument to actress Faina Raneva. The sculpture, 2.15 meters high, depicts her in the recognizable character of Lyalya from the pre-war film "Podkidysh". Raneva is shown with an open umbrella in her left hand and a lady's purse in her right. The monument was unveiled after the festival "Zontichnoe utro", which takes place annually in the city in memory of the actress who was born and spent her childhood here. The project author is well-known Russian sculptor David Begalev.
