Chekhov's Cellar Museum

Chekhov's Cellar Museum is located in a historical building at Alexandrovskaya St., 100, Taganrog city. The Chekhovs lived there from 1869 to 1874, when young Anton spent much time behind the counter of the family grocery store. Today, the museum features an exhibition including the shop interior and living rooms, family photos and period household items. In front of the building stands a statue of characters from "The Thick and the Thin" story.
