Chekhov Literary Museum

A. P. Chekhov Literary Museum is located in the historical building of the former male classical gymnasium built in 1806 in the style of Russian provincial classicism. It was here that Anton Chekhov studied from 1868 to 1879, which had a significant impact on his work. The museum opened in 1980 and is dedicated to the life and works of the writer. Visitors can see the interiors of the pre-revolutionary classroom and learn more about Chekhov's school years, which served as inspiration for many of his stories.
