Pskov Regional Puppet Theatre

Pskov Regional Puppet Theatre is housed in the building of the former Old Believer church of Pokrov Bogoroditsy built in 1906. The puppet theater participates in Russian and international festivals, while its troupe was actively working until 1953 when it was disbanded due to financial difficulties. Since then, the collective has periodically changed locations before obtaining its own premises. The theatre focuses on children and family audiences.
