Pokrovskaya Tower

Pokrovskaya Tower is part of Pskov's fortified belt from the 15th to 16th centuries. It was part of the flank defense of the southwestern line of city defense and protected an important section of the wall near Pokrovsky corner. Located in the southwest corner of Okolnyy City, today it is an object of Pskov Museum-Reserve. Pokrovskaya Tower played a significant role in defending Pskov during the siege of 1581-1582.
