Pushkin and Nurse Monument

In Pskov, near the entrance to the Summer Garden named after A.S. Pushkin, there is a monument called "Pushkin and the Peasant Woman" created by sculptor Oleg Komov. The pedestal, about 2.8 meters high, is made of granite, while the bronze sculptural group depicts the scene. Architects M. Konstantinov and P. Butenko worked on the project. The creation of the monument took more than ten years. Pushkin visited Pskov frequently, where he wrote many of his works including "Boris Godunov" and chapters from "Evgeniy Onegin".
