Moskovskaya Street

Moskovskaya Street in Penza is one of the oldest and most important streets in the historical center of the city. It starts from Lenina Square and continues to Yuiblennaya Square, being part of official city walking tours. There are monuments and sculptures here, including "Penzyaok Tolstopyatyy" and "Box of Russian Folk Sayings". The street connects the drama theater and other cultural institutions. Its name is linked to an ancient road direction towards Moscow. The main part of the street has been transformed into a pedestrian zone resembling Moscow's "Arbat".
