Cathedral Square

Cathedral Square in Penza is the historical core of the city. It features buildings from the 18th to 19th centuries and a restored Spassky cathedral. Previously known as Soviet Square, it now is part of pedestrian tours through Penza's center. Nearby are the historical rampart and the monument "First Settler". This is an ideal starting point for strolling through the city's ancient district.
