Penzensky Zoo

Penza Zoo opened in 1981 is situated on Krasnaya Street, 10. Its area covers 9.8 hectares including three ponds with channels. There are 143 protected species of animals here, among them rare and endangered fauna representatives. The zoo is located on the site of former Archiepiscopal Garden, first mentions of which date back to 1848.
