Mikhail Yurevich Lermontov Monument

In Lermontov's garden, near the regional library named after M.Yu. Lermontov, stands a monument to the great poet. A bronze figure of Mikhail Yurevich in full military uniform is placed on a high granite pedestal 1.5 meters tall. The authors of the monument are architect Vladimir Popov and sculptor Vasily Stamov. The monument was opened in August 1978, its total height with the pedestal exceeds 4 meters.
