Penzene Fortress Defense Wall

The defensive rampart of Penza Fortress is situated on Kirov Street in the historical center of Penza. This is an object of historical and cultural heritage associated with the founding of the city in 1663. The height of the rampart serves as a viewing point over the central part of Penza. Nearby is the monument "First Settler", while along the rampart a restored wooden bell tower with a cannon has been reconstructed, forming together with the monument an integral memorial complex.
