Omsk Cadet Corps Building

The historical building of the Omsk Cadet Corps, erected in 1826 in the traditions of classicism, is adorned with a six-column Ionic portico on the main facade. In 1879, architect Eduard Ezet expanded it by adding educational and dormitory premises. The history of the educational institution, founded in 1813 at the initiative of Lieutenant-General Grigory Ivanovich Glazenap, dates back to the Troops' Cossack School, and among its graduates were Grigory Potanin, Chokan Valikhanov, and Dmitry Karbyshev. Since September 1, 2021, the corps has moved to a new complex, and the historical building has ceased to be its main educational site.
