St. Nikolay Cossack Cathedral

St. Nikolay Cossack Cathedral is located in the historical center of Omsk at Lenin Street, 27. The temple was consecrated in honor of saints Nikolay the Wonderworker, George the Victorious and Simon the Godbearer with Anna the Prophetess. It is one of the oldest stone churches in the city, built in the XIX century. The first worship service took place in June 1840 under the guidance of Protopope Dmitry Ponomarev. The cathedral is closely linked to the history of Siberian cossacks.
