Serafimo-Alexeevskaya Chapel

Seraphimo-Alexeyevskaya chapel in Omsk is situated at the intersection of Partizanskaya and Spartakovskaya streets. It was built in 1907 to commemorate the birth of Tsarevich Alexei and consecrated in honor of St. Alexis of Moscow and St. Seraphim of Sarov. During Soviet times, the chapel was destroyed but was reconstructed on its original site in 1994 after funds were raised by local residents. Construction also relates to memories of the Russo-Japanese War. Upon restoration, the chapel was again consecrated and opened for believers.
