F. M. Dostoevsky Omsk State Literary Museum

F. M. Dostoevsky State Literary Museum in Omsk is situated in the historical building of the commandant's office of Omsk Fortress, constructed in 1799. Opened in 1983, the museum's exhibition highlights the connection between the city's history and Siberian literature. It features exhibits, cultural and educational events including programs for schoolchildren. A special exhibit focuses on Dostoevsky's stay in Omsk's penal servitude from 1850 to 1854. The building is among Omsk's oldest stone constructions and part of the fortress ensemble.
