Novosibirsk-Glavny Station Terminal

Novosibirsk-Glavny Station, put into operation in 1939, is the largest railway station in Siberia and one of the largest in Russia. Its construction began in 1925, and the calculation of reinforced concrete structures was performed by engineer Nikolai Nikitin in 1937, while Andrey Kryachkov participated in the development as a consultant. The central part of the building is designed in the form of a triumphal arch with Tuscan order pilasters, although the original constructivist idea of Nikolai Voloshinov's design, which resembled a steam locomotive, was ultimately lost.
