Central Siberian Geological Museum

The Central Siberian Geological Museum is situated in Novosibirsk on Universitetsky Prospect. It houses an exceptional systematic mineralogical collection comprising over 20 thousand specimens. Among exhibits stand out notable finds such as meteorite "Novosibirsk", massive danburite druze weighing approximately 200 kg, copper nugget weighing 750 kg, and mountain crystal druzes ranging from 100 to 350 kg. The collection was formed since late 1940s under the guidance of professor G. Pospelov. Special attention is given to meteorites "Novosibirsk" and "Maslyanino" discovered locally.
