First Traffic Light Monument

The monument to the first traffic light was installed at the intersection of Serebrennikovskaya and Sibrevkoma streets in Novosibirsk. It is situated near School No. 12, one of the oldest schools in the city. The composition features a figure of a traffic officer greeting an electric traffic light controlled manually in the 1940s. This is the first traffic light monument in Russia highlighting the importance of children's road safety.
