Lab Mouse Memorial

A monument to a laboratory mouse was installed in Novosibirsk, in Akademgorodok, near the Institute of Cytology and Genetics SO RAS. The sculpture was created by Andrey Kharkevich and made from bronze in Tomsk under the supervision of master-caster Maxim Pyotrova. The depicted mouse wears glasses and is knitting DNA spiral. The monument was opened in 2013.
