Monument to Emperor Alexander III

The monument to Emperor Alexander III in Novosibirsk is installed in the "City Beginning" Park and is dedicated to his decision to start the construction of the Trans-Siberian Railway. The total height of the monument is 13 meters, with a five-meter bronze figure of the emperor placed on an 8-meter-high granite pedestal. The solemn opening of the sculpture took place on the night of June 22-23, 2012, in honor of City Day, and was accompanied by a performance by a symphony orchestra, cannon salutes, and bell ringing. The composition is oriented to the east, and Emperor's great-great-grandson Pavel Kulikovsky was present at the ceremony.
