Alexander III Monument

A five-meter bronze figure of Emperor Alexander III stands on a high granite pedestal 8 meters tall. The total height of the composition reaches 13 meters. The monument is situated in the park "Gorodskoe Nachalo" and faces east. The sculpture was created by artist Salavat Shcherbakov and unveiled on June 23, 2012. The memorial recalls the beginning of construction of Trans-Siberian Railway under Alexander III.
