Novosibirsk State University

Novosibirsk State University opened on September 26, 1959. Its first lectures took place in schools of Akademgorodok. The university is situated at Pirogova Street, 1. Among its first professors was academician Sergey Sobolev who delivered the first lecture for students of all specializations. Since its establishment NSU has been closely linked with scientific institutions of the Siberian Branch of the Academy of Sciences.
