Новосибирск, ул. Станиславского, Сквер Славы

The Monument of Glory in Novosibirsk was opened in 1967. It is a memorial ensemble consisting of five pylons dividing the square into solemn and memorial zones. The front side of the pylons depicts the history of war from conscription to the peaceful image of sun, fields and mother with child. The names of Novosibirsk residents who died during World War II are also engraved on the pylons. The central element of the ensemble is the relief "Mourning Mother" by B.L. Ermishin. The eternal flame of the memorial was lit from Chkalov Metallurgical Plant.
